My dad running over our small canister vacuum with our VW beetle after washing and vacuuming the car. lol.

I have not owned any historical vacuums.

Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?

I have not. I like to restore old electric fans and other electrical items from the 1930s - 1950s.
