I cannot stand modent appliences. Vacumes do not work as well in a few months. Carpet cleaners seem to be manufactured to break within 3 months. I am thoroughly disgusted with modern customer service. I want an explanation as to why a machine is designed to break within a year!. No integrity today.

What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
My grandmother had a Hoover vacume, had it for 40+ years when she died. It still worked!!! I regret to this day giving it away because it was heavy. At least I would have something that worked.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
Vacumes and carpet cleaners have been a constant disappointment, for the last 30 years. From my experience, it breaks within a few months and not one company will sy "thats not right"!.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
I have tried, but all I get from the reps on the phone, who by the way have never even used the machine I am calling about, is an offer for an upgrade! Seriously? An upgrade from what? Not one rep from Hoover has known anything about how the machine works. Buying a new machine every year is a shameful statement for the Hoover company!!!
