Riccar SupraLite R10Sand - motor running abnormally super fast

Check the fan for anything abnormal. When a fan becomes unbalanced it makes a motor sound like it’s running fast and loud. With the high rpm’s of vacuum motors the fan is quite often the culprit of a screaming motor.

    10 Amp Fantom Fury

Nice! It's rare to find an early Fury in low mile condition. I like the trim color too, it gives it more character than the regular black in my opinion. Fantom vacuums are really interesting machines, lots of history there and very unique styling.

The Eureka whirlwind is now more than 20 years old.

Nice, I once refurbished one. I can't believe how easily the shroud clogs on these. One of the worst cyclonic systems ever in my opinion haha.

    Working vacuum test gauge explained.

Thanks for the awesome videos Vaclab. It's great to see the science confirm what I have experienced in person regarding the performance of certain vacuums. No wonder my direct air vacuums clean better than our Miele, Dyson, Shark,Sebo, ect.

Could someone post proof that suction helps to maintain airflow through carpet? (other than "Vacuum Facts" videos)

    Hoover Guardsman and Conquest Discontinued?

I'm sad to hear this news. Hoover convertibles are the vacuum that got me interested in vacuums as a hobby. In a way they have been a big part of my life. They will always have a special place in my collection.

What's the best belt to use for Hoover convertibles?

You can also use Eureka style RD belts with a convertible. In thick carpet they slip a little but they last a long time. Some of the convertible belts break after a very short period of time.

Plastic fans on older Hoover convertibles?

I believe that the plastic fans from later convertibles will fit the metal based models. My model 69 had a plastic fan in it when I bought it. I put a metal one back in. They fit the same.

Vacuum cleaner pick up tests on carpet

You both seem to enjoy the performance and reliability of good bagged vacuum cleaners. Why is there such a disagreement? Vaclab seems to show bagged vacuums are great. Performance reviews seems to show bagged vacuums are great.
