What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
Vacuuming with the Circa 1973 Eureka white with blue trim 3.5 Amp motor upright my parents purchased for the kids to use to vacuum our bedrooms.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
The first vacuum I bought for myself I still own -- my 1990 Eureka Might Mite Canister 3.0 Peak Horsepower (cream). I have since misplaced the two hard tubes and the upholstery tool. All else is original...and it is in superb condition. My newest vacuum is my Bissell Vacuum and Steam Mop (which is absolutely fantastic!).
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
I restored my Hoover Convertible Model 707. I found it at a Thrift store in a somewhat sorry condition. After the hood and bag removal, a good polish of the motor, hood and surfaces...and a nice warm soapy-water soak of the bag -- this vacuum ended up a really sweet cherry.
