Its just a collection of Kirby, Hoover, Eureka, Electrolux, Filter Queen, Compact, Dyson, Oreck, Kenmore, GE and a few other brands that I cant remember because they are in storage. There uprights and canisters from the 1920s to the present.
What are your dream machines yet to be found?
a red,8990 Royal Upright Classic. I dont
remember the model number. And a Compact canister from the 1960s called the green pig, and a Hoover Upright from the 1960s.Dont know the model #
What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
When I was 4 or 5 years old, Mom said that I would guide the Kirby when she was using the hose attachment. Mom stored the Kirby in my bedroom closet. I would look every morning to make sure it was still there.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
Ive found them at auctions, yard sales and the Goodwill. I have my Moms 1963 Kirby Sanitronic VII with all of the attachments and tools that came with that model that year. Its in mint condition.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
Yes. Ive worked on all of mine. I have also repaired many vacuums over the years for friends and relatives. Worked part time years ago in a Vac&Sew repair shop.
