Just the Hyla and the GE MV1. I'm not a collector, but want the parts to my two MV 1's.
What are your dream machines yet to be found?
I'm hoping you-all have the wands and the floor attachment to the MV 1.
What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
I got married in 1962, and got the MV 1 (which I still have) a year or so later from my brother-in-law, Charlie Leader, and his wife. (Christmas, maybe?) He worked for GE, and my dad did too. I used that vacuum, and only that vacuum, for forty or more years, to vacuum, first, apartments, then a two story home. (And yes. There were rugs!) During a move after about forty or more years, the wands and the floor attachment disappeared. I recently bought a second MV 1 online, thinking the wands and the floor attachment were included, but they were not. So I'm still seeking those! I would have continues to use just that vacuum forever if I hadn't lost the wands. Now I use the Hyla as a water filtration vacuum. It is excellent, but must be cleaned after each use, so It makes me vacuum the whole house at once, rather than break it up into smaller chunks!
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
See above.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
No. Just changed the clutch on my dryer, which was from 1971 (also a GE), and which I sold a few years ago, along with the washer, for $50 each, as they were still in perfect working order.
