What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
Mom had a gray metal Electrolux that was probably used when she got it in the mid 60s. She also had a pretty basic green Hoover convertible upright. In the 80s she got a new self-propelled Eureka upright in brown and a used Hoover Constellation in blue. Also, my grandparents’ lake house had a turret-top GE canister.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
Started off with a Sharp upright that my parents weren’t using. Was fine mostly, but for a while we lived in a newly built rental townhouse and the fuzz from the cheap carpet kept clogging it! Then we got a Kenmore Progressive canister that was great until this year—and our attempts to fix it killed the poor thing. Currently using the Electrolux Epic that was a Craigslist find.
