I use a Hoover Junior belt to secure the bag, it's smaller than the Convertible agitator belt. I have this configuration currently on my Hoover model 70 as the original ring to secure the bag wore out. Hope this helps.

I love my central vacuum, everyone is entitled to their opinions and preferences for vacuums. I don't see where my central vacuum is inferior, it's very convenient for me and my home. I'm a canister vacuum guy, I dislike upright vacuums but wouldn't sway anyone from buying/using them...
