The board apparently controls the speed of the motor. I went ahead and transferred it to the new motor, had to splice in one of the leads from the motor to the vacuums connector. Put it all together and it works fine... problem solved!

I have a miele vacuum with a shot motor. I ordered a new one - a Ametek 115923. When it arrived I noticed that the new motor looks identical to the old except the old one has a small circuit board attached to it. Also I see that the old motor is a Ametek 115923-AB. It looks like I could...
