    "Shampoo and Set"

Maybe try a little pre-treatment next time and see if it does better. Some times you have to soften up those tough stains a bit first. :)

Significance of 50 Foot Cord and Super Wide Nozzle Beyond Commercial Use?

While a longer cord is appealing, dragging it around corners and marking up walls that have flat paint that can't be cleaned only repainted is most definitely not. I'm fine with my Kirby Ultimate G Diamond's 30ft light grey cord. As for shake out bags...not only no, but hell no. I probably would...

I Am Shocked: Kirby Gsix vs Shark Rotator Lift-Away Pro

I agree Kevin...you actually have to use the thing regularly and do a decently thorough job. I just don't think you get the same performance from today's plastic disposable vacuums. You could probably vacuum the same spot for hours and not pull up that deep down dirt.

I Am Shocked: Kirby Gsix vs Shark Rotator Lift-Away Pro

"I have heard carpet guys say the EXACT same thing about Electrolux canister homeowners....I mean word for word and showing me the pad after they pull up the carpet. Kevin" I had never heard that about Electrolux, but I guess the statement would apply to any good higher end vacuum...Kirby...

    Opinions on Windtunnels?

I have the bagged version of this that I bought 5 years ago when I built my new house. It has a lot of carpet and I needed the self propelled feature. Let me tell you it is LOUD. The other problem I have with it is that the carpet height selector lever does not stay on the middle setting. It...

    Opinions on Oreck XL's

I have to agree that they are ok machines and work best on low pile carpets. Anything thicker and it's like dragging a sleeping cat by the tail...no fun at all. One positive...you get a decent arm workout :)

    The New eBay Scam?

Another scam is the "Do not bid without prior approval" one. Usually it reads: Do not bid without prior approval. Contact me via email before bidding or I will delete your bid. Then it usually has an unrealistically low Buy it Now $ in the text. If you contact them with a buy it now offer...

What brand is this tester for?

Reminds me of the filter pad holder that Kirby salesmen use to show how much dirt is being pulled from your carpet when they demonstrate the vacuum.
