Adding to it here... It's a Miele, and the rubber or plastic flap came loose, and it's hard to put back in. So I was wondering how important it is to have it in the vaccum, if it can do ok without?

Hi - I have a question about a Miele part that has come loose and wanted to see how important it is or how to fix it. Before adding pics and specifics though I wanted to make sure this was allowed. Thank you for any feedback.
