    Spur-of-the moment vacquisiton...

Never knew you had a Sharp back in the day. Not to get even more off topic than this thread already is, but Sharp vacuums hold a special place in my heart. My grandparents have had one for pretty much my entire life. It used to be their basement vac (and I also used to be terrified of it as a...

Huh. Can't say I'm too surprised about them. I have a Kenmore Magicord from the 70s with a split open wire-reinforced hose. It needs bags, a hose, a set of tools, and a power nozzle. I can imagine that happening to people, and then the wires inside getting frayed, and then it's downhill from...

************ I was not expecting THAT to be used as an example for answering my question! That's horrifying!

I see. Now that has me wondering both when this machine was made, and what machine first used these parts back in the mid-to-late 90s.

Could you link it if possible?

Okay... but then why do the date codes range from 95-98? Did they manufacture these things in the 90s and then hold off on bringing them to market until the 2000s?

    What is this?

Looks like the end to a non-electric central vac hose. I've seen it on some garage kits I think.

Does anyone keep this hobby a secret?

I'm the complete opposite. I'm pretty honest with my passion for vacuum cleaners. Probably like half of the papers I've done in school have been about vacuums and vacuum collecting. I try to explain to people that it's a hobby in a similar vein to collecting and repairing cars. Despite this, I...

Are you sure? The parts clearly had their date wheels with numbers in the 90s. I don't have photos of them at the moment, but I didn't see any with the numbers 00 or higher. Then again, I know very little about Panasonics, so yeah.

AS AN OLDER WOMAN WITH CATS ....

Idk what you're Flooring situation is like, but I think a Eureka Mighty Mite would be a good option for you. If you have lots of carpeting, then I'd maybe look into also getting a turbo nozzle or a cordless power nozzle to go with it. Also, you can get HEPA bags and HEPA post motor filters for...

    Ghetto Vacuum Contraptions?

Here's my hat into the ring. Recently, I've been curious to try out one of those electrostatic self-cleaning dusters from Eureka, so I bought one off of Ebay. The only thing is that I don't have a Whirlwind Litespeed, Boss Widetrack, or any other machine that uses one of them. So instead, I...

    No. Not even close.

    Bagged Eureka Litespeeds.

Does anybody have any information about Eurekas bagged variants of the Litespeeds? I'm specifically talking about ones other than the Sanitare, Powr-Flite, and Eureka Commercial variants. I can't find much if anything about them online, besides these photos.
