What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
My grandmothers blue hoover convertible. I remember like it was yesterday and the sound it made and how sleek and stylish it was.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
Growing up, we had a Panasonic Jet Flo Canister that I believe waas blue which I used for weekly vaccuming on Friday afternoon. Later, we bought my mother a brand new Hoover Concept One back in the 80s and it lasted to well into the 2000s before it gave up I think. I owned probably a few nondescript walmart jobs like dirt devils and such before I got sick and tired of them because they were so noisy and cheap feeling. It was around that time that I became friends with someone who worked in a vacuum repair store which had several vintage vacs in the front window which I inquired about. He actually GAVE ME the Filter Queen model 31 (I use it weekly) and 200 which I fell in love with as well as the Eureka Rotovac. Ive been hooked on these wonderful machines ever since and will never buy and modern vacuum again.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
No I havent, other than to change simple belts and bags.
