What are your dream machines yet to be found?
Panasonic MC-663. The top-of-the-line version of the vacuum that forever obsoleted my beloved Kirby. Please help me find a really good 663! If another member has one, I would be interested in buying it.
What are your earliest and favorite vacuum memories?
Definitely playing with all of the crazy Kirby attachments when I worked at the vacuum cleaner store. Thats also where I learned to hate all Hoover products. Hoovers suck! Poorly! Sorry, Hoover enthusiasts.
What is the history of vacuum you have owned?
For a vacuum guy, this isnt pretty. As a college student, I started with an old, crappy Hoover upright I got from the vacuum store where I worked as a kid. When that died, I resurrected a barely less crappy 1980s plastic Hoover Elite. That just died, so I bought a new Symmetry Ultra Premium and rekindled my interest in these machines.
Have you ever worked on, repaired and/or restored any vacuum cleaners?
Yes, I worked at ABC Sew-Vac Center in Placentia, CA from 6th through 9th grade (1977 - 1980) as an apprentice. I was the number one used Kirby salesman in the city of Placentia.
