    Heritage II Bearing Replacement

Could somebody walk me through on how to replace the front bearing on a heritage II? The motor is lubricated and spins down okay, but there's a loud grinding noise whenever it is spun. I am thinking this is the front bearing because it was also exposed to water at one point.

    Heritage II Fan Removal

Update- I got it off after soaking a lot of 3 in 1 oil into the shaft. It turned off pretty easily after soaking in for a day. Now the fan is taking in oil so I can pry that off tomorrow.

    Heritage II Fan Removal

Does anybody have a model number for the armature lock tool? Or something I could use? I have replaced Kirby impellers before but I've never had one rusted on like this.

    Heritage II Fan Removal

The shaft is rusted on, and I am trying to remove the fan to oil the bearings. I have tried putting a screwdriver in the fan but every time I attempted that it just bent the fan. I also tried cutting up/smashing off the fan but it's one of those Kevlar ones so it won't crack. Is there any kind...

Kirby Tradition vacuum - curb find

It is the plastic fan. I have had a shop vac with plastic stuck in the impeller which caused it to get much louder too so I am thinking it's louder since it is off balance now. I'll order the new impeller.

Kirby Tradition vacuum - curb find

I had to sand off some corrosion but sure enough, it fires right up. It was running very loud though, so I opened it up and the impeller is missing a blade. Will this work as a replacement...

Kirby Tradition vacuum - curb find

John I would be interested in those tools if the price was right (Assuming this vacuum works). I am about to go test it out. I've seen how to operate newer Kirbys and I attached the belt and know the basics of how to use it.

Kirby Tradition vacuum - curb find

Hello. Just found this Kirby tradition on the side of the road and I took it home with me. Don't know anything about it, so I would like to be enlightened about it. I do have experience with vintage vacuum cleaners (Royal Power Tank etc) but I haven't owned a vintage upright before.
